BTDSys MIDIJump 1.0What is it?MIDIJump lets you Jump to any song position assigned to specific MIDI Keys. I.E., Press C-4 and jump to tick 256, press D-4 and jump to tick 512 (or whatever tick you assign D-4 to), etc.Used together with P.Doom's HackJump, a typical use would be to setup looped 'zones' in Buzz's sequencer with different track groupings so you can mix live via MIDI Key mappings. Similiar in function, but not identical to performance tools like Abelton Live. MidiJump is a "hack" machine based on P. DooM's BUZZHACK with some additions by Ed Powley. Basic setup and operation is simple, right click the MidiJump machine and click 'settings'. Assignment Settings
1. Jump-to Tick to be assigned to a MIDI Note 2. Displays the value of the recieved MIDI Note which will be assigned 3. List of assigned jumps. MIDI Note -> Tick << ADD, adds the currently selected MIDI Note and Tick to an assignment in the list. Remove - highlight an assignment and press this to delete settings. Parameters![]() For accuracy, the 'Tick Snap' parameter controls when the Jump should occur after the MIDI Key is pressed. The default setting is 16. If you press a key at 7 ticks into a pattern, it will wait until the 16th tick (9 ticks later) before it jumps. In most scenerios this setting should be ideal. AttributesMIDI Channel - by default set to ALL.ThanksThanks to mute for the idea, and thanks to you for actually reading the docs for once. Nice one. EOF/legalCode ©2002-2004 Ed Powley (website) |
